St Michael and St Mary's is a Grade I listed Church of England parish church situated in Melbourne, Derbyshire.

We are a welcoming and inclusive worshipping community, part of a bustling rural town that can trace its history back to Roman times. Our worship is mostly a modern take on traditional liturgy, supported by a wonderful choir.

A peal of twelve bells, one of only two in Derbyshire, announces our services and special occasions to Melbourne’s growing population of around 6,000 people.

The building, dating from around 1133, has been described by historian Simon Jenkins as one of the finest Norman churches in the country.

We are part of the Melbourne Benefice, alongside our sister churches in Smisby, Stanton-by-Bridge and Ticknall.
